How long does a swap take?

Last updated 30 October 2026

Most swaps finish within minutes. The exact time depends on how fast each network confirms your deposit. The coin you send sets most of the wait, because the swap starts once your deposit has enough confirmations.

From the quickest deposits to the slowest, by the coin you send:

  • Solana (SOL), USDT on Tron, Polygon and BNB Smart Chain
  • Ethereum (ETH) and USDT on Ethereum
  • Litecoin (LTC)
  • Bitcoin (BTC)
  • Monero (XMR), which needs 10 confirmations

A swap can take longer when the network is busy or the deposit was sent with a low fee. A missing memo or a deposit on the wrong network can also hold it up.

You can follow every step on your swap's status page, ghostswap.io/txs/?id=YOUR_SWAP_ID: deposit seen, confirmations, exchanging, sending, completed.

Taking longer than this? Swap delayed or on hold.
