Quick answer: what are good alternatives to ChangeNOW?
The main alternatives to ChangeNOW are GhostSwap, SimpleSwap, FixedFloat, StealthEX, Exolix and Godex, plus Haveno as a peer-to-peer option for Monero. All of them let you swap without opening an account, but they differ on rates, coin counts, apps and when they may ask for ID. GhostSwap asks for no account, email or ID upload to start a swap and has a Tor mirror, but it offers a floating rate only and no app. For a locked rate, SimpleSwap, FixedFloat or Exolix fit better, and SimpleSwap also has iOS and Android apps.

A ChangeNOW alternative is any service that swaps one coin for another, wallet to wallet, without a sign-up.

The shortlist

  1. GhostSwap. Best for: swapping with no account, email or ID upload, with a Tor mirror and a focus on Monero and Zcash.
  2. SimpleSwap. Best for: the widest coin list here (2,800+), a fixed rate and phone apps.
  3. FixedFloat. Best for: a published percentage fee and Bitcoin Lightning swaps.
  4. StealthEX. Best for: a large coin list (2,000+) with no upper limit on floating swaps.
  5. Exolix. Best for: choosing a fixed or floating rate on an aggregator that lists Monero.
  6. Godex. Best for: a fixed rate that holds for 30 minutes while your deposit arrives.
  7. Haveno. Best for: peer-to-peer Monero trades over Tor, with no company in the middle.

Why people look for a ChangeNOW alternative

ChangeNOW has run since 2017 and has apps, card purchases and fixed and floating rates. People comparing it with other services usually point to these:

  • A swap can stop for an ID check. Standard swaps need no account. But ChangeNOW’s FAQ says an automated risk system checks every transaction. If it marks a swap as suspicious, the swap goes on hold and you’re asked to verify your identity through its partner, SumSub. It may also ask where the funds came from.
  • Saying no has a cost. If you don’t verify, the FAQ says the deposit is refunded to the sending address minus network fees, and that address may be blocked from future deposits.
  • Some pairs run through partners. ChangeNOW says some exchanges go through partner services, which may have their own KYC rules.
  • No Tor route. We found no Tor mirror on the ChangeNOW pages we checked.

None of this makes ChangeNOW a poor choice. It says swaps “usually take 1 min”, and its apps and fiat options are broad.

The alternatives, one by one

1. GhostSwap

GhostSwap is an instant, non-custodial swap service, live since October 2024. You pick two coins, paste your receiving address and send the deposit. Starting a swap needs no account, email or ID upload. It lists 1,600+ coins, including Monero, Zcash, Dash and Pirate Chain. It adds:

  • a Tor onion mirror;
  • a Telegram bot;
  • a public status page for every swap;
  • an MCP server for AI agents.

The minuses: a floating rate only (the fee is inside the quote), no mobile app and a shorter track record. Swap time follows the deposit chain: about 20–60 minutes for Bitcoin and 5–15 minutes for Solana or Tron. See also GhostSwap vs ChangeNOW.

2. SimpleSwap

SimpleSwap has run since 2018 and calls itself a “self-custodial multi-source swap aggregator”. It lists 2,800+ cryptocurrencies and has iOS and Android apps. You can lock a fixed rate for 20 minutes or take a floating rate. Most swaps need no account; its FAQ says it may ask for ID or source-of-funds documents in some cases. More options are on our SimpleSwap alternatives page.

3. FixedFloat

FixedFloat launched in 2018, says it isn’t custodial and asks for “no registration”. Its fee is published: 1% plus network fee on a fixed rate, which freezes for 10 minutes, or 0.5% plus network fee on a floating rate. Its currency list includes Monero, Zcash and Bitcoin Lightning. Its terms say it may pause an order and ask about the source of the funds in some cases, such as suspected fraud. See also FixedFloat alternatives.

4. StealthEX

StealthEX calls itself custody-free and asks for no sign-up. It lists 2,000+ assets, Monero and Zcash among them. Floating swaps have no maximum amount, and a fixed rate is available too. Its FAQ gives 5 to 30 minutes as the usual time. It says verification is needed “in rare cases”, for example when a transaction is considered suspicious.

5. Exolix

Exolix has run since 2018 and describes itself as a non-custodial cross-chain swap aggregator. Its swap form offers fixed or floating rates on 500+ coins. Monero is listed, but Zcash isn’t. Its KYC policy, updated 6 July 2026, says it may ask for ID, a selfie and source-of-funds documents, and may delay a swap until its review ends.

6. Godex

Godex has run since 2018, needs no registration and gives 960 as its coin count, with Monero and Zcash included. A fixed rate holds if your funds arrive within 30 minutes; a floating rate is also offered. Its FAQ gives 5 to 30 minutes as the usual time. Its homepage says trades need no KYC, while its KYC policy (March 2024) describes checks on government ID.

7. Haveno

Haveno isn’t a company-run swap. It’s open-source, peer-to-peer software for trading Monero against fiat and coins such as BTC, USDT and Zcash. Every connection runs over Tor, and its FAQ says there is no KYC. Trades use security deposits, and arbitrators hold one of three keys in case of a dispute. You install it on Linux, macOS or Windows through a third-party network, and you wait for a matching offer instead of getting an instant quote.

How to choose

  • Need a locked rate? SimpleSwap, FixedFloat, StealthEX, Exolix and Godex offer one. GhostSwap is floating only.
  • Swapping on a phone? SimpleSwap has iOS and Android apps, and StealthEX, Exolix and Godex link Android apps. GhostSwap works in the browser and through Telegram.
  • Want to share as little as possible? None of these needs an account for a normal swap. The ID policy column shows when each says it may ask for more.
  • Going into Monero or Zcash? Check that the pair is live first. Our BTC to XMR page shows a live quote with fees included.
  • Comparing prices? Quote the same pair and amount on two services in the same minute. Then compare the amount you’d receive.

How we compared

  • We are GhostSwap, so we’re one of the services listed. We put ourselves first and listed our minuses next to our strengths.
  • Every rival fact comes from that rival’s own homepage, FAQ, terms or KYC policy, checked on 11 October 2026. Coin counts are each service’s own figure.
  • We didn’t run test swaps for this page. The only speeds and fees quoted are the ones each service publishes.
  • We left out LetsExchange: its homepage says it stopped exchange operations on 1 October 2026.

FAQ

What are good alternatives to ChangeNOW?

GhostSwap, SimpleSwap, FixedFloat, StealthEX, Exolix and Godex are instant swap services that need no account for a normal swap. Haveno is a peer-to-peer option for Monero. The right one depends on whether you need a fixed rate, an app or a privacy coin.

Is there a ChangeNOW alternative with no KYC?

GhostSwap asks for no account, email or ID upload to start a swap, and Haveno’s FAQ says it has no KYC. The other instant services skip the account too, but their own pages say they may ask for ID on some swaps.

Does ChangeNOW require KYC?

Which ChangeNOW alternatives offer a fixed rate?

SimpleSwap (20 minutes), FixedFloat (10 minutes), Godex (30 minutes), Exolix and StealthEX. GhostSwap has a floating rate only, with the fee shown in the quote.

Which alternatives support Monero and Zcash?

GhostSwap, SimpleSwap, FixedFloat, StealthEX and Godex list both. Exolix lists Monero but not Zcash. Haveno trades Monero against other assets, Zcash included.

Is there a ChangeNOW alternative with a mobile app?

SimpleSwap has iOS and Android apps, and StealthEX, Exolix and Godex link Android apps. GhostSwap has no app; it works in the browser and through a Telegram bot.
