How much TRX do you get for XRP?
GhostSwap quotes at 2 Nov 2026, 19:28 UTC, after the service fee and the cost of sending the TRX to your wallet.
The rate floats with the market until your XRP deposit confirms.
Getting TRX to power a Tron wallet
A common reason to swap XRP to TRX is to fuel a Tron wallet. TRX pays for activity on Tron, and that includes moving USDT TRC-20. A TRC-20 transfer uses energy, and an account without staked TRX pays for that energy by burning TRX. So if you plan to send USDT on Tron, the wallet needs TRX first.
This swap gets you there from the XRP Ledger in one step. Native TRX is paid to the T address you enter, with no bridge and no token on another chain. The payout also activates a brand-new Tron address, so TronLink or Trust Wallet can start completely empty.
If you want a steady supply of energy rather than paying per transfer, you can stake part of the TRX in TronLink. Either way, do not spend the whole payout at once if USDT transfers are what you got it for.
The XRP deposit and its tag
The deposit is XRP on the XRP Ledger, sent from Xaman or a Ledger to the address the box shows. On this side, the deposit details may include a Destination Tag. If they do, type that number into the tag field of the XRP payment exactly as shown. A payment without it may not be linked to your swap. No tag in the deposit details means you send the XRP without one.
Watch the account reserve when you choose the amount. Every XRP Ledger account must keep a base reserve that it can never send, so the spendable balance in Xaman is lower than the total. Size the swap from the spendable figure, and leave a tiny amount over for the transaction fee, which is paid in XRP.
The XRP Ledger validates the payment in a few seconds, and XRPSCAN shows it under your r-address.
Pasting a Tron address correctly
The TRX payout goes to a Tron address: a capital T followed by 33 more characters, 34 in all. Copy it from the receive view in TronLink or Trust Wallet, with Tron selected as the network. Trust Wallet holds many chains under one account, and its Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain addresses start with 0x, which the payout field will not take.
Tron addresses need no memo or tag, so there is nothing else to fill in on the payout side. Check the first and last few characters after pasting.
The refund field wants your XRP address, the r-address you are sending from. Keep the two straight: the T address receives TRX, and the r-address gets XRP back if the swap cannot be completed. Tron confirms the payout in about a minute, and Tronscan lists it under your T address along with the account's energy and bandwidth.
XRP and TRX side by side
| XRP (you send) | TRX (you receive) | |
|---|---|---|
| Network | XRP Ledger | Tron |
| Address | Starts with r | Starts with T, 34 characters |
| Tag or memo | Destination Tag if shown on the deposit | None |
| Confirmation | A few seconds | About a minute |
| Fee paid in | XRP | TRX (or bandwidth and energy) |
| Wallets | Xaman, Ledger | TronLink, Trust Wallet |

Both ledgers are account-based and quick, so neither side keeps you waiting. The differences are in the details. The XRP Ledger locks a reserve in every account and may ask for a tag on deposits. Tron activates an account when TRX first arrives and charges fees through bandwidth and energy. Knowing both rules before you send avoids the two most common surprises on this pair: a deposit that cannot be matched, and an amount that is larger than the XRP you can actually spend.
Rate, timing and no account
The exchange box shows the TRX you receive after fees for the XRP you enter. The quote comes from aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets, and the rate floats until your XRP deposit confirms. The box also shows this pair's minimum and maximum, so check those before sending a large or very small amount.
Timing is short on both sides. The XRP Ledger confirms the deposit in seconds, most swaps finish within minutes, and Tron then confirms the TRX in about a minute.
You do not register anywhere. GhostSwap is a no-KYC crypto exchange, and this swap takes only a Tron address, an XRP refund address and the deposit. For other Tron pairs, see the Tron exchange page. To go back, use TRX to XRP.
Exchange withdrawals and refunds
If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the sender address you entered. On this pair that is an r-address, so it should be one from your own Xaman or Ledger account.
Sending XRP straight from an exchange withdrawal can work, as long as the withdrawal carries any Destination Tag the deposit details show. The weak point is the refund. Exchanges send from shared accounts, so never give the exchange's withdrawal address as your refund address. Put an r-address you control in that field instead, or withdraw to your own wallet first and send from there.
Look up your XRP to TRX swap ID to open its status page. If XRPSCAN shows the payment validated and the status has not moved for a long time, email support@ghostswap.io with the swap ID and the XRP transaction hash. Do not send the XRP again.
Common mistakes
- Leaving out the Destination Tag when the deposit details show one.
- Trying to send the full XRP balance, including the reserve that can never be sent.
- Pasting a 0x address from Trust Wallet instead of the Tron T address.
- Giving an exchange's shared withdrawal address as the XRP refund address.
- Spending all the TRX and having none left to pay energy for a USDT TRC-20 transfer.
