USDT TRC20 to USDT BEP20: Move Tether From Tron to BNB Smart Chain, No KYC

Your balance stays a dollar stablecoin, but almost everything around it changes. The address goes from a T-address to a 0x address, the fee coin goes from TRX to BNB, and the explorer goes from Tronscan to BscScan.

People make this move when their next stop lives on BNB Smart Chain: a wallet setup built around BSC, an app that only takes BEP20 tokens, or someone who asked to be paid in USDT BEP20. Both chains have low transfer costs, so the reason is almost never fees; it is where the dollars need to be.

The quote draws on aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets and floats until your deposit confirms. Expect a figure close to one to one, less the service fee and the BSC payout gas. USDT on either chain is centrally issued, and its issuer can freeze tokens at an address.

Trust Wallet shows a USDT entry for Tron and another for BNB Smart Chain, often with the same icon. They are two different tokens on two different chains. Sending from the Tron entry to your own 0x address is not possible: a Tron transfer only reaches Tron addresses.

To make the change in Trust Wallet, open the BNB Smart Chain entry, copy its 0x address and paste it here as the payout address. Then open the Tron USDT entry, send to the deposit address this swap gives you, and use your T-address as the sender.

The same works with TronLink on the sending side and MetaMask or Rabby on the receiving side. Your recovery phrase may cover both chains, but each chain still has its own address and its own balance.

BEP20 USDT is paid to a 0x address of 40 hexadecimal characters, the same format Ethereum uses. Trust Wallet, MetaMask and Rabby each give you such an address. The format being identical is a trap: an Ethereum-only address in an app that does not watch BSC will receive the tokens, but the app may not show them.

Use an address from a wallet with BNB Smart Chain switched on. After the payout, search the address on BscScan; the BEP20 Tether transfer is listed there within a minute of being sent.

If you are paying a third party, confirm they want BEP20 and not ERC20. The addresses look the same, so a mix-up on their side is easy and hard to undo.
