Before you send the XMR
Open your Monero wallet early and give it time to sync. Feather, Cake Wallet and Monero GUI all have to read the newest blocks to know which of your coins are unspent; a wallet that is behind can try to use coins it has already sent, and the network will refuse that transfer. Send only once the wallet shows it is up to date.
If you connect through a remote node, a slow or overloaded node can make syncing crawl. Switching to another node in the wallet settings usually fixes it.
The Monero fee is added by your wallet and paid in XMR, outside the quote. It is set by transaction size and the priority you choose. Send the exact amount the box shows and keep a little XMR for the fee. Expect part of your remaining balance to show as locked for a while afterwards: that is your change, and Monero makes it wait 10 blocks like any other incoming output.
What happens during the 10 confirmations
The swap starts counting as soon as your XMR transaction is in a block. Monero blocks come about every 2 minutes, so reaching the 10 confirmations the deposit needs takes about 20 minutes. This is the longest part of the swap, and it is the same for every Monero deposit, whatever coin you receive.
The status page tracks the count. When it reaches 10, the swap is carried out at the floating rate and the SOL is sent. Most swaps finish within minutes from there, and Solana confirms the payout in under a minute.
Two things do not help during the wait: sending another deposit and refreshing a block explorer. Monero explorers cannot show the receiver or the amount anyway. Your wallet's outgoing transaction list, the status page and, after the payout, Solscan are the places to look.
Copying the right Solana address
A Solana address is a base58 string of 32 to 44 characters. Base58 leaves out the characters 0, O, I and l to avoid mix-ups, and there is no 0x at the start. If the address you are about to paste begins with 0x, it is an Ethereum or BNB Smart Chain address and cannot receive native SOL.
Phantom shows several networks in one wallet. Tap Receive and copy the address marked Solana, not the Ethereum or Bitcoin one. Solflare and a Ledger with the Solana app give you only Solana addresses, which makes the choice simpler.
Native SOL needs no memo and no token account. It lands in the main balance of the address you give, and that address can use the SOL straight away to pay fees for tokens and apps. If the wallet is brand new, receiving this payout is enough to start using it.

If the Solana wallet is empty, receiving SOL first is the practical choice: a wallet holding only USDT or USDC cannot send them until it also holds SOL for the fee. Tether can also freeze USDT, which is a property of that token, not of the swap.
Refunds and proving a Monero payment
Because Monero does not reveal the sending wallet, the swap cannot read a return address from your deposit. You give one instead. If a swap cannot be completed, the XMR is refunded to the sender address you entered, so use a subaddress from your own wallet.
Keep the swap ID until the SOL has arrived. If the status page sits on the same step well after the deposit has confirmed, email [email protected] with the swap ID and the Monero transaction ID. Your wallet can also produce the transaction key for that payment, which lets anyone check that the XMR really went to the deposit address without revealing anything else in your wallet.
On the Solana side, the payout signature appears on the status page once the SOL is sent. Paste it into Solscan to see the transfer reach your address, usually within seconds of being broadcast.
