SOL to ZEC: Swap Solana for Zcash With No KYC or Account
To swap SOL to ZEC, type the SOL amount, give the transparent t1 or t3 Zcash address the coins should reach, add the Solana address you send from, and transfer native SOL to the one-time deposit address. No account or ID is needed, and once the ZEC lands you can shield it in Zodl (formerly Zashi), Zkool or Zingo.

¿Cómo puedo cambiar SOL por ZEC?
Elige SOL y ZEC
Enviar SOL a Solana
Why Solana holders move into Zcash
Solana is fast and cheap, and it is also completely public. Every wallet balance, every token account and every transfer can be read on Solscan by anyone who knows one of your addresses. For a lot of activity that is fine. For savings you would rather keep out of view, it is not.
Zcash answers that with optional privacy. Its shielded pool uses zero-knowledge proofs, so a shielded transfer hides the sender, the receiver and the amount. The catch is that shielding is something you do, not something that happens by default, which makes the steps after the payout matter as much as the swap.
This pair is a short path between the two. You send SOL on Solana, the rate is built from aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets and floats until your deposit confirms, and real ZEC is paid out on the Zcash chain. At no point does a wrapped token or a lock-and-mint contract sit in between.
Sending native SOL, not a token that looks like it
The deposit must be plain SOL on the Solana network. Do not send wrapped SOL, a liquid-staking token or an SPL token with SOL in its name, because only native SOL is credited to this swap. In Phantom or Solflare that is the main SOL balance at the top of the wallet.
Solana takes the network fee in SOL from the same balance. If you want to empty a wallet, leave a little behind for that fee, otherwise the wallet will refuse the transfer or trim the amount and the deposit will not match the quote.
For the sender field, copy the wallet's own Solana address from its Receive tab; it is base58 and never begins with 0x. Staked SOL has to be unstaked and back in the main balance before it can be sent. The Solana deposit is final in less than a minute, and most swaps finish within minutes from then on.
The ZEC payout goes to a t1 or t3 address
Zcash wallets show more than one kind of address, and only one of them works here. The payout is sent to a transparent address, which starts with t1 or t3. A unified address starting with u1 and a Sapling address starting with zs cannot receive it, so the form will not accept them.
In Zodl (formerly Zashi), Zkool or Zingo, open Receive and look for the transparent option. Some wallets tuck it behind a toggle because they prefer you to share the unified address. Copy it with the copy button; never type it by hand.
Use a fresh transparent address if your wallet offers one. An old t-address that has already received coins from other places ties this payout to that history on the public part of the Zcash chain. Zcash blocks arrive about every 75 seconds, and the network fully confirms the payout in about 10 to 20 minutes, which you can follow on Blockchair.
Shielding is the step that makes the ZEC private
When the ZEC arrives at your t-address it is visible, just like the SOL was on Solana. The privacy starts when you move it into the shielded pool. Zodl, Zkool and Zingo all do this with one action, usually called Shield or something close to it, and the wallet pays a small ZEC fee for that transaction.
After shielding, transfers between shielded addresses hide sender, receiver and amount. A few habits keep that worth having. Shield the whole payout rather than part of it. Wait a while before you spend, instead of moving the same amount straight back out. Send onwards from the shielded balance, not from the t-address that received the swap.
None of this changes the Solana side. Your SOL deposit stays on Solscan for good. What the swap avoids is an account: there is no sign-up and no ID, so no profile joins the Solana transfer to the Zcash wallet you shield into.
A swap, not a bridge: what you end up holding
| Lo que tienes | After a bridge | After this swap |
|---|---|---|
| baza | A token on Solana that represents ZEC | Real ZEC on the Zcash chain |
| Can it be shielded? | No, it never leaves Solana | Yes, in Zodl, Zkool or Zingo |
| Who can see the balance | Anyone, on Solscan | Anyone, until you shield it |
| Fee coin for the next move | Still SOL | ZEC |
| Dónde comprobarlo | solscan | Blockchair |
Some people search for a Zcash bridge to Solana. A bridge locks coins on one side and mints a stand-in on the other, so the result would be a Solana token pointing at ZEC somewhere else. This route ends with the coin itself on its own network, and only that version can enter the shielded pool. Zcash vs Monero explains how the two privacy coins differ if you are still choosing.
Si el intercambio no se lleva a cabo
If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the sender address you entered. Here the refund would travel back over Solana, so it should be the Phantom, Solflare or Ledger address you actually sent from. An exchange deposit address will not do, because those are shared and you cannot control what they credit.
Every swap gets an ID and a status page. Your deposit can be found on Solscan with its transaction signature, and the ZEC payout shows on Blockchair once it leaves. If Solscan shows the SOL as finalized and the status has not moved for a long time, write to support@ghostswap.io quoting the swap ID and that signature. Hold off on any second deposit until support has replied.
The other common hold-up sits on the Zcash side and is not a fault: a wallet that is still syncing shows nothing yet. Let it finish before you assume the ZEC is missing.
Errores comunes con SOL a ZEC
- Pasting a u1 unified or zs shielded address in the payout field instead of a transparent t1 or t3 address.
- Sending wrapped SOL, a liquid-staking token or an SPL look-alike instead of native SOL.
- Emptying the Solana wallet completely and leaving no SOL for the network fee.
- Leaving the ZEC on the transparent address and never shielding it.
- Entering an exchange deposit address as the Solana sender, so a refund has nowhere you control to go.
