From a Solana token to a coin with its own chain
JUP is the token of Jupiter, the swap aggregator that many Solana users route their trades through. It is an SPL token, so it lives inside a Solana wallet next to SOL and pays nothing on its own: every transfer of JUP costs a small fee in SOL. ADA is different in kind. It is the native coin of Cardano, the asset that pays Cardano fees and that holders delegate to stake pools.
This pair takes JUP on Solana and pays out ADA on Cardano. Nothing is bridged and no wrapped ADA appears in your Solana wallet. The two chains share no address format, no seed derivation you can rely on and no wallet app in common for most users, so treat them as two separate setups: Phantom or Solflare on the sending side, Eternl, Lace or VESPR on the receiving side.

Unstake JUP before you swap it
A lot of JUP is not sitting loose in wallets. Holders stake it in Jupiter's governance vote to take part in proposals and the periodic distributions tied to voting. Staked JUP does not show as a spendable balance, and Jupiter applies a cooldown when you unstake, so it cannot be sent the moment you decide to swap.
Plan for that. Start the unstake in Jupiter's own interface, wait until the tokens are back as a normal SPL balance in Phantom or Solflare, and only then open the swap. A wallet that shows JUP but greys out the send button is usually a sign the tokens are still locked.
The same goes for JUP held inside a liquidity position or a lending app. Withdraw it to your plain wallet first. The deposit for this pair has to be an ordinary SPL transfer of JUP from an address you control, because that address is also where a refund would return.
Sending the JUP: SOL for fees and the right token

Receiving ADA: addr1 addresses and what the wallet shows
A Cardano payment address starts with addr1 and is long, often more than a hundred characters. Copy it from the receive tab of Eternl, Lace or VESPR and paste it whole. Two other strings from the same wallet look similar and will not work: a stake1 address, which is your reward account, and an address from a test network, which starts with addr_test1.
Cardano wallets hand out a fresh receive address each time you ask. That is normal. Every one of them belongs to the same wallet and the same balance, so it does not matter which one you paste.

Refunds and support for this pair
