DEGEN started in 2024 as a tipping and rewards token for the Farcaster community, and it lives on Base, an Ethereum layer 2. Plenty of people active in Farcaster or Base apps keep their dollars on Solana, because that is where they trade or get paid. This pair moves that USDC from Solana into DEGEN on Base in one swap.
You would otherwise need a bridge, a second stablecoin hop and a trade on Base. Here the USDC goes to a deposit address on Solana and the DEGEN is paid to your 0x address. Nobody asks you to register or upload ID for it.

Moving the DEGEN later costs a fee in ETH on Base, not in DEGEN, so the Base wallet needs a little ETH on Base before the tokens can go anywhere.
