AAVE to PEPE: Swap Aave for Pepe Without a DEX or Account

AAVE and PEPE are both ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum mainnet. That makes this one of the simplest pairs on the site: one token leaves your wallet, a different token comes back to an address of the same shape. You do not connect your wallet to any app, approve a contract or sign an allowance. You make one ordinary token transfer of AAVE to the deposit address.

That transfer still costs gas, and gas on Ethereum is always paid in ETH. An AAVE balance with zero ETH next to it cannot be sent at all. MetaMask or Rabby will show the gas estimate before you confirm, and it moves with network load, so check it at the moment you send.

Because both sides are Ethereum, the 0x address you send AAVE from can also be the address that receives PEPE. Many people do exactly that. It keeps the refund address and the payout address in one wallet you already control.

The second trap is AAVE that is working inside the protocol. stkAAVE in the safety module and aEthAAVE from supplying to the market are separate tokens with their own contracts. Unstake (after the cooldown) or withdraw first so that plain AAVE is back in the wallet.

Once the AAVE deposit lands, Ethereum confirms it in about 2 to 5 minutes, the PEPE goes out, and Ethereum confirms that payout in about the same time. Most swaps finish within minutes once the deposit confirms.

PEPE has an enormous supply, so any AAVE amount turns into a very long PEPE figure. Do not read anything into the size of the number. What matters is the amount the exchange box shows for the AAVE you enter, which already has the service fee and the cost of sending PEPE taken out.

That quote is built from aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets, and the rate floats until your AAVE deposit confirms.
