# Monero Delistings Tracker: Which Exchanges Still List XMR (2026)

**Quick answer:** Binance (spot, Feb 2024), OKX (Jan 2024) and Kraken in the EEA, UK, Canada and Australia have dropped Monero, along with Korean and Japanese exchanges years earlier. On 20 October 2026, XMR spot trading is still live on Kraken (US and other regions), KuCoin, HTX, Bitfinex, MEXC and Poloniex. From 10 July 2027, the EU AML Regulation bars EU crypto providers from accounts that allow privacy coins.

Coinbase, Gemini, Bitstamp and the Crypto.com Exchange don't list XMR today, and we found no record that they ever did.

## Why do exchanges delist Monero?

Monero hides the sender, receiver and amount of every transaction by default (see [Is Monero traceable?](/is-monero-traceable/)). Regulated exchanges must run anti-money-laundering checks on the funds they handle, and exchanges in Korea, Japan, the UK, the EU and Canada have pointed to money-laundering rules or local compliance requirements when dropping privacy coins. Most notices cite "regulatory requirements" without naming a specific law.

## The EU rule from July 2027

The EU Anti-Money Laundering Regulation, [Regulation (EU) 2024/1624](https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/reg/2024/1624/oj/eng), sets a hard date. Article 79(1) bars crypto-asset service providers from keeping "any account otherwise allowing for the anonymisation of the customer account holder or the anonymisation or increased obfuscation of transactions, including through anonymity-enhancing coins". Article 90 says the rule applies from **10 July 2027**.

The regulation targets service providers, not people. Holding Monero in your own wallet is not banned by it, and the recitals say it doesn't apply to wallet software providers that have no control over users' wallets. For country-by-country rules, see [Is Monero legal?](/is-monero-legal/).

## How to get Monero if your exchange delisted it

You have three options:

- **An exchange that still lists XMR where you live.** See the table above. You need a verified account.

- **Peer-to-peer.** Haveno and Bisq let you trade with other people directly, usually for bank transfer.

- **A no-account swap.** Swap a coin you already hold (BTC, ETH, USDT, LTC, SOL and others) to XMR, paid straight to your own Monero wallet.

## FAQ

**Which exchanges still list Monero in 2026?** On 20 October 2026, Kraken (outside the EEA, UK, Canada and Australia), KuCoin, HTX, Bitfinex, MEXC and Poloniex have live XMR spot markets. Binance, Bybit, Bitget and Gate offer XMR futures only.

**When did Binance delist Monero?** Binance ended XMR spot trading on 20 February 2024, announced on 6 February 2024. Withdrawals stayed open until 20 May 2024. XMR futures still trade on Binance.

**Did Kraken delist Monero?** In some regions. Kraken stopped XMR for the UK in 2021, Ireland and Belgium in May 2024, the whole EEA on 31 October 2024 and Canada on 2 September 2025, bars it in Australia, and has delisted it in India and the UAE. US clients can still trade it.

**Will Monero be banned in the EU?** Owning Monero is not banned. From 10 July 2027, the EU AML Regulation stops EU crypto service providers from offering accounts that allow privacy coins, so EU-regulated exchanges are expected to drop XMR by then.
