USDT TRC20 to DASH: Swap Tether on Tron for Dash, No KYC

USDT TRC20 is a token on Tron, and moving it calls a smart contract. Tron charges for that in energy and bandwidth. If your T-address has no staked energy, the network burns TRX from your balance instead, so the wallet needs some TRX beside the USDT or the transfer will fail.

TronLink and Trust Wallet show the expected cost before you confirm. A first transfer to a fresh, empty address tends to burn more energy than later ones to the same place, so the first fee estimate may look high. Staking TRX for energy lowers the cost if you move Tether often.

Tron needs roughly a minute to confirm the deposit. Search its transaction hash on トロンスキャン to check that it went through. Once Tron has confirmed it, most swaps finish within minutes.

DASH is paid to a Dash address that begins with X. Dash Core on desktop and DashPay (formerly Dash Wallet) on mobile both give you one under Receive. Use the copy button and paste it; do not type it out.

A Tron T-address, a 0x address or a Bitcoin address will not work in this field. Multi-coin wallets list many accounts in one place, so make sure you copied from the Dash account and not the Tron one you just sent from.

DashPay also lets you set up a username for payments between DashPay users. A swap payout needs the plain X-address, so copy that rather than a username. It is a good idea to use a new receive address for each swap, because Dash balances and payments are public and an address you reuse collects a visible history.

The payout is a normal Dash transaction. Dash adds a block roughly every 2.5 minutes, so the coins are confirmed within a few minutes, and your wallet usually shows the incoming amount as soon as the transaction reaches the network. If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the sender address you entered. For this pair that is USDT TRC20 on Tron, returned to the T-address in your form, so it must be a wallet you control, such as TronLink or Trust Wallet.

Tether sent straight from an exchange balance comes from a shared hot wallet. Refunds sent to such an address often go uncredited, which is why the Tether should sit in TronLink or Trust Wallet before you begin. Bear in mind as well that Tether's issuer is able to freeze the USDT sitting at a Tron address, a feature of the token that has nothing to do with the swap.

Each swap ID comes with a status page covering deposit, exchange and payout. Should Tronscan report the USDT transfer as successful while that page shows no progress for an unusually long time, contact support@ghostswap.io, giving the swap ID and the Tronscan hash, and hold off on sending the Tether again.

Dash was designed for payments. Its fees are low, blocks come every couple of minutes, and many wallets and merchants that accept it are used to small, frequent transfers.
