FDUSD to USDT AVAX: First Digital USD on BSC to Tether on Avalanche
To swap FDUSD to USDT AVAX, enter the FDUSD amount, paste a 0x Avalanche C-Chain address from Core or MetaMask and your BNB Smart Chain sender address, then send BEP-20 FDUSD to the one-time deposit address. You receive Tether on the Avalanche C-Chain with no account or ID, and the sending wallet needs a little BNB for the deposit's gas.

Two changes in one swap: issuer and chain
Here the token and the network both change in the same step. The stablecoin changes from First Digital USD to Tether, two separate issuers with their own reserves and their own redemption rules. The chain changes from BNB Smart Chain to the Avalanche C-Chain. Both coins aim to track the US dollar, but they are different tokens, so what you receive is a swap quote rather than a one-for-one transfer.
Both tokens are centrally issued, and each issuer can freeze its token at a given address. That is a property of FDUSD and USDT themselves, whichever route you take to get them.
The usual reason for this direction is where the money has to end up. Someone you pay accepts USDT on Avalanche, or an Avalanche app you use is built around it, while your dollars sit as FDUSD on BNB Smart Chain. One swap covers the token change and the chain change, with no bridge and no wrapped token in between.
C-Chain, not X-Chain
Avalanche runs more than one chain, and Core shows more than one address. The payout here goes to the C-Chain, so the address starts with 0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters. The X-Chain address in Core, starting with X-avax1 or avax1, cannot receive this USDT.
MetaMask only shows 0x addresses, so the question does not come up there. Add the Avalanche C-Chain network so the USDT appears once it arrives. In Core, stay in the C-Chain view and copy the 0x address from that screen.
A C-Chain address has the same format as your BNB Smart Chain address. Using one 0x account for both sides is fine, provided the wallet is switched to Avalanche when you look for the USDT afterwards. The tokens land on the C-Chain whichever network your wallet happens to be showing at the time.
Sending FDUSD on BNB Smart Chain
The deposit is FDUSD as a BEP-20 token on BNB Smart Chain. FDUSD also exists on Ethereum, and the exchange box lists that version as a separate coin. Sending Ethereum FDUSD to this pair's deposit address puts it on the wrong network.
A BEP-20 transfer pays its gas in BNB, never in the token itself. Keep a little BNB in the wallet that holds the FDUSD. MetaMask and Rabby show the BNB cost before you approve. BNB Smart Chain usually confirms the deposit in under a minute, and BscScan shows it under your transaction hash.
Use the sending address as the refund address. If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the sender address you entered, so it should be your own BNB Smart Chain wallet rather than an exchange withdrawal address.
USDt or USDT.e: checking what arrived
Two Tether tokens live on the Avalanche C-Chain. One is native USDt, issued by Tether directly on Avalanche. The other is the older USDT.e, bridged over from Ethereum. Wallets often list only one of them by default.
If your status page shows the payout as sent but the balance is missing from your wallet, open the transaction on Trace de neige. The token transfer line names the token that arrived. Add that token to Core or MetaMask and the balance appears.
Moving the USDT later needs AVAX on the C-Chain for gas. Receiving costs nothing, so the payout lands fine with no AVAX at all. If you plan to send it on soon, put a little C-Chain AVAX in the wallet first. AVAX held on the X-Chain does not pay C-Chain gas until Core moves it across to the C-Chain.

The address row is the only one that matches. That makes it easy to paste the right format onto the wrong network, and it is why the gas row deserves attention both before and after the swap. BNB pays for the deposit; C-Chain AVAX pays for whatever you do with the USDT later. The guide to moving stablecoins across networks compares the fee side of each chain in more detail.
Quote, timing and no KYC
The box shows the USDT AVAX you receive after fees for the FDUSD you enter, priced from aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets. Two dollar stablecoins seldom trade at exactly one to one, and the fees come out of the quote, so the receive figure is the number to check before you send. The rate floats until the FDUSD deposit confirms; most swaps finish within minutes after that, and the C-Chain confirms the payout in a few seconds.
You do not open an account or show ID at any point. GhostSwap is a no-KYC crypto exchange, so the two addresses and the FDUSD deposit are the whole process. If the status page stops moving after BscScan shows the deposit confirmed, email support@ghostswap.io with the swap ID.
To go back the other way, use USDT AVAX vers FDUSD.
Erreurs courantes
- Pasting the Core X-Chain address (X-avax1...) instead of the 0x C-Chain one.
- Sending FDUSD from Ethereum instead of BNB Smart Chain.
- Holding FDUSD with no BNB, so the BEP-20 transfer cannot pay gas.
- Assuming the USDT is missing when the wallet has simply not added the Tether token that arrived.
- Planning to move the USDT straight away with no C-Chain AVAX for gas.
