Two tokens, two chains, two fee coins
This pair moves between governance tokens of two DeFi projects that sit on different chains. DRIFT is an SPL token on Solana. UNI, the Uniswap token, is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Neither one pays its own network fees.
That shapes the whole swap. To send DRIFT you need SOL in the same wallet, because Solana charges every transfer in SOL. On the other end, UNI arrives without any ETH, but you need ETH in that 0x wallet before you can send it, vote with it or put it to use in an app.
So before you start, check two balances, not one: some SOL beside your DRIFT now, and a plan for ETH beside your UNI later. Sending DRIFT from a Solana wallet

The deposit settles on Solana in under a minute. The fee is tiny but it must be paid in SOL, so a wallet with zero SOL cannot send the DRIFT at all. Top it up first if needed.
The sender field wants the Solana address the DRIFT leaves from. Expect 32 to 44 base58 characters and no 0x at the start. Use your own wallet, not an exchange withdrawal, because that address is where a refund goes. You can follow the deposit on Solscan by pasting the transaction signature.
The 0x address for your UNI
The payout is UNI on Ethereum mainnet, so the address must start with 0x followed by 40 hexadecimal characters. MetaMask, Rabby and a Ledger all give one. There is no Solana version of UNI on this pair, so a Solana address cannot go in this field.
Some multi-chain wallets show both a Solana address and an Ethereum address in one app. That is fine, as long as you copy the 0x one for this field and the Solana one for the sender field. Mixing them up is the classic error on this page.
Your 0x address is also valid on Ethereum layer-2 networks, but the UNI lands on mainnet. If MetaMask is set to Arbitrum or Base, the balance will not show until you switch to Ethereum. Not one line of this table matches across the two columns, so one address or one fee coin cannot serve both ends. The fee rows matter most: DRIFT needs SOL to leave, UNI needs ETH to move again. Ethereum gas is usually higher than Solana fees, so plan a bit more for the UNI side if you expect to move it soon.

The usual reason is a change of focus. Someone who held DRIFT on Solana wants exposure to a governance token on Ethereum instead, or wants a token that more Ethereum apps accept. Doing it through a bridge would mean a wrapped asset and an extra step; this swap pays native UNI.
