ATOM to USDT ERC20: Swap Cosmos Hub ATOM to Tether on Ethereum, No KYC
To swap ATOM to USDT ERC20, enter the amount, paste the 0x Ethereum address that should get the Tether and the cosmos1 address you send from, then send ATOM on Cosmos Hub to the one-time deposit address, adding a Memo only if the deposit screen shows one. There is no account or ID step, and the Tether arrives on Ethereum as an ERC-20 token that needs ETH for gas when you move it.

Only Cosmos Hub ATOM fits the deposit
ATOM travels a lot. Through IBC it can sit on Osmosis, on other Cosmos chains, or inside an app, and each chain gives you an address with its own prefix, such as osmo1 instead of cosmos1. The deposit for this pair is on Cosmos Hub itself, so the ATOM has to leave from a cosmos1 address.
If your ATOM is on another chain right now, move it back to Cosmos Hub first with an IBC transfer in Keplr. Only then send it to the deposit address. A transfer from a different chain will not show up as a deposit for this swap.
The Hub confirms in under a minute, and Numérisation shows the transaction as soon as it lands. Keep a small amount of ATOM behind for the network fee, because Cosmos Hub charges it in ATOM on top of what you send.
The Memo field on the deposit
Cosmos transfers carry an optional Memo, and GhostSwap lists one for ATOM. The rule on this pair is short. Look at the deposit screen after you create the swap. If it shows a Memo, copy it exactly into the Memo field of your wallet before you send. If it shows none, leave the field empty.
Keplr, Trust Wallet and Vultisig all have that field on the send screen, sometimes under an advanced or optional section. Paste rather than type it, and check the address and the Memo once more on the confirmation screen.
The payout side has no Memo at all. USDT ERC20 goes to a plain 0x Ethereum address, so there is nothing extra to fill in for receiving.
Keplr will not hold the Tether
Many ATOM holders use Keplr and nothing else. Keplr is built around Cosmos chains, and its cosmos1 address cannot receive an ERC-20 token. For this payout you need an Ethereum wallet with a 0x address, such as MetaMask, Rabby or a Ledger used through one of them.
Set that wallet up before you start the swap. Copy its 0x address into the payout field and compare the first and last few characters after pasting. A cosmos1 address cannot take this payout, and a typo in a 0x address cannot be undone once the Tether is sent.
Vultisig and Trust Wallet can hold both chains, so one app can cover the send and the receive. Even then, the two addresses are different strings on different networks. The cosmos1 one is for sending ATOM and refunds; the 0x one is for the Tether.
After payout: ETH pays the gas on Ethereum
USDT ERC20 is a token on Ethereum. Receiving it costs you nothing, but every later transfer needs ETH in the same 0x address to pay gas. Tether alone cannot move itself, and the ATOM you have left cannot pay Ethereum fees.
Ethereum gas is usually higher than fees on Tron or BNB Smart Chain. That is the trade-off for picking ERC20: the Tether sits on the chain with the widest range of wallets and apps, and moving it costs more. If you only plan to send the Tether to someone on Tron, ATOM vers USDT TRC20 Cela pourrait mieux convenir.
If the receiving address holds no ETH yet, ATOM à ETH pays Ethereum's own coin to the same 0x address. A small amount is enough for a few token transfers on a quiet day. The payout itself can be checked on Etherscan, where Ethereum confirms it in about 2 to 5 minutes.
Rate and the ATOM to USDT converter
People searching for an ATOM to USDT converter usually want to know the dollar value of a given ATOM amount. The exchange box gives that number for this pair, after fees, before you send. It quotes off aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets, and the reference rate next to it shows the market price before fees.
The rate floats. It follows the ATOM price until your deposit confirms on Cosmos Hub, which takes under a minute, so the gap between quote and result is usually small. After that, most swaps finish within minutes.
Fees are already in the amount you see, apart from the Cosmos Hub fee your wallet adds when sending. The box also shows the minimum and maximum for the pair. To go the other way later, use USDT ERC20 to ATOM.
Refunds and Tether's freeze rule
The cosmos1 address you enter as the sender matters. If a swap cannot be completed, the coins are refunded to the sender address you entered, which here is that Cosmos Hub address. Use one from your own wallet. ATOM withdrawn straight from an exchange account leaves from a shared address, and a refund sent back there may not reach you.
The status page for your swap ID shows deposit, exchange and payout in order. If Mintscan shows the deposit confirmed and the status has not changed for a long time, email support@ghostswap.io with the swap ID and the Cosmos transaction hash. Do not repeat the deposit.
One more point about the asset you receive. Tether, the company behind USDT, can freeze USDT at any address. That applies to ERC-20 Tether on Ethereum like every other version, and it is part of holding the token.
Erreurs courantes
- Sending ATOM from Osmosis or another IBC chain instead of a cosmos1 address on Cosmos Hub.
- Skipping the Memo when the deposit screen shows one, or inventing one when it shows none.
- Pasting a Keplr cosmos1 address into the payout field, which needs a 0x Ethereum address.
- Receiving USDT ERC20 at a 0x address with no ETH, so the Tether cannot be moved later.
- Sending all the ATOM and leaving nothing for the Cosmos Hub network fee.
