Bitcoin erhalten
Your BTC is paid out once your USDT SOL deposit confirms, and Bitcoin then confirms it in one to three blocks. Most swaps finish within minutes. The exact time depends on how fast each network confirms your deposit. Follow each step on the status page with your swap ID.
Sending the SPL Tether: the right token and some SOL
The deposit is USDT on Solana, the SPL token issued by Tether. In Phantom or Solflare open the USDT entry, not SOL, and send exactly the amount the swap page shows. Make sure it is the genuine token: copycats named USDT exist on Solana, and Solscan lists the official mint under Tether's name.
The network fee for this transfer comes out of your SOL balance, never out of the USDT. With zero SOL in the wallet, the send fails before it ever reaches the deposit address. Solana fees are low, so a small amount is plenty, but it has to be there.
In the sender field, type your main Solana wallet address. Block explorers also show a separate token account that holds your USDT; that is not the address to enter. On Solana, that deposit is final in under a minute.
Your Bitcoin address: on-chain only
The BTC arrives as a normal on-chain Bitcoin transaction. Paste a receive address from Sparrow, Electrum or a hardware wallet; it starts with bc1, 3 or 1. Lightning invoices and Lightning addresses belong to a separate payment layer and cannot be used as the payout.
Bitcoin wallets hand out a fresh receive address on request, and every one of them belongs to the same wallet. Using a new one for this swap is good practice, since it keeps this payment apart from your earlier history on the public chain.
Copy and paste the address, then compare its first and last few characters with your wallet screen. A Solana or 0x address has no place in this field. Bitcoin payments cannot be reversed once broadcast, so this is the check that matters most on the whole page.
From a dollar token to a coin whose price moves
This direction changes what kind of asset you hold. USDT tracks the dollar; Bitcoin does not, and its dollar price can move a lot within a day. People make this swap to shift savings into BTC for the long run, to pay someone who asked for Bitcoin, or to leave the Solana ecosystem for a wallet on Bitcoin's own chain.
The rate is set by aggregated liquidity from leading crypto markets and floats until your USDT deposit confirms. With Solana confirming in under a minute, that window is short. The exchange box shows the BTC you receive after fees before you send, plus the minimum and maximum for this pair.
Leaving USDT also leaves one property of the token behind: Tether can freeze USDT held at a given address; that is a property of the token itself. For a wider look at this route, read moving from Solana to Bitcoin.
When the BTC arrives: confirmations and small outputs
The payout is broadcast once your deposit clears, and most swaps finish within minutes from there. Your wallet first lists the incoming BTC as unconfirmed. It becomes spendable after being mined into one to three blocks, with a block roughly every ten minutes. Follow it on mempool.space using the transaction ID from the status page.
Think about size if you plan to swap small amounts again and again. Each payout becomes a separate unspent output in your wallet, and spending many small outputs later costs more in fees than spending one larger one. Sparrow lists these outputs individually on its UTXOs tab, which makes them easy to track and combine.
A hardware wallet is a sensible home for BTC you mean to keep. Pair it with Sparrow or Electrum and use one of its receive addresses as the payout address.
Wenn etwas schief läuft
If a swap cannot be completed, the USDT is refunded to the sender address you entered. That is the Solana address you typed when you created the swap, so it should be your own wallet. When an exchange account sends the USDT on your behalf, a refund that comes back to its hot wallet may be hard for that exchange to match to you.
The problems seen most often on a pair like this are a deposit made with the wrong token and a mistyped payout address. If you spot either, do not send another payment to fix it. Email support@ghostswap.io with your swap ID and the Solscan link of your deposit, then wait for a reply.
Keep the swap ID until the Bitcoin has confirmed in your wallet. The status page opened with it shows each stage, from deposit received to BTC sent, and it is the quickest way for support to locate your swap.
Häufige Fehler
- Sending SOL or another SPL token to the deposit address instead of USDT.
- Starting the transfer from a Solana wallet with no SOL, so it is never submitted.
- Pasting a Lightning invoice or a Solana address where the Bitcoin address belongs.
- Entering a token account copied from Solscan as the sender instead of the main wallet address.
- Splitting savings into many tiny swaps, which leaves lots of small BTC outputs that cost more to spend later.
